Roma: Day 2

We spent a good portion of the day in line for the Vatican Museum. Yesterday was Ascension Thursday, during which the museum was closed, so everyone who couldn't go yesterday went today. That made for a loooong and winding line that took us about two hours to get through. At one point, we got yelled at by a crazy old Italian lady who accused us of cutting in line. We hadn't, but like I said, she was old and crazy. Once we made it in, we were treated to a very detailed tour, thanks to the lovely Frederica. Among the treasures we saw was the Laocoon -- most impressive
Our daytrip also included St. Peter's and the old Roman Forum
Basilica di San Pietro
Part of the Old Forum
Afterwards, we made our way to the Spanish Steps, took a few pictures, and had some dinner. I ordered a pizza with buffalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. It was fantastic!
